Tour of the Island

Phuket is unique because of the hundreds of islands that surround it, many of which are uninhabited and surrounded by some of the world’s most spectacular coral reefs. As a result, island hopping is one of the most popular activities in Phuket. Depending on which islands you want to visit, island hopping is usually a full-day activity. A boat ride away are the Phi-Phi islands, Maya Bay, Maiton Island, Khao Nai Island, Similan Islands, Racha Island, Koh Lipe, and Koh Lanta.
Bay of Phang Nga

The breathtaking limestone cliffs and flooded caves are a must-see for any visitor to Phuket. Though extremely touristy, you can book a Phang Nga Bay tour even one day in advance. Fortunately, this attraction is open all year.
The Great Buddha

The 45-meter-tall white marble statue atop the Nakkerd hill in Phuket’s south is a must-see attraction. Although the road to the top is steep but well-paved, the panoramic view is well worth the effort. When you reach the top, you can see all of Chalong Bay, all the way to Phang Nga in the north and Kata Beach in the south. I recommend stopping at one of the many small panoramic bars on the way down to get a bird’s eye view of Karon Beach.
Enjoy Phuket’s nightlife.

If you want to get a feel for the local culture, go to Phuket’s nightlife, where you’ll be greeted by colourful lights and smiling faces, inviting restaurants, tempting salesgirls, alluring bars, and, of course, dancing girls. The night can be as sober or as wild as you want it to be. You can party in Bangla Rod, or if you’re feeling more daring, you can check out a Go-Go bar to see what all the fuss is about. If you are not a party animal, you can enjoy the Sunday Street Market on Phuket Town’s old Thalang Road or sample local delicacies at many of the town’s night markets. Some are only open on weekends.
Other points of interest

If time allows, visit Old Phuket Town, Chalong Temple, Karon Beach, Karon Temple, and Karon Viewpoint. From the latter, you can see three magnificent bays: Kata Noi Beach, Bay of Kata, and Karon Beach. If you enjoy sunsets, you must visit the Laem Phromthep viewpoint, which has some of Thailand’s most beautiful sunsets.
Phuket Water Sports

Aside from snorkelling and scuba diving in the Andaman Sea, you should try sailing, kayaking, and SUP paddling in the lagoons, lakes, and rivers of Phuket. I had a great time trying them out at Angsana Villas Phuket under the supervision of my guide, Kiattisak, affectionately known as ‘Superman.’ He was a former Mai Thai Boxing champion.
Go island hopping on a motorcycle.

Phuket is exceptionally green and beautiful. North Phuket has some of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches with few people, including Mai Khao, Khao Lak, Nai Harn, Nai Yang, and Banana beach.
Dinner and cocktails

On a floating restaurant, flyboard light show
ATOLL is the place to be if you want to make some fantastic memories. Imagine sitting in the heart of Laguna Phuket’s beautiful lagoon, sipping your vibrant cocktail and enjoying the contemporary chic cuisine, with a once-in-a-lifetime flyboard show as the highlight. And your flyboard artist is serving champagne to you. Doesn’t that sound like fun?
Nai Thon Beach’s hidden staircase

If you enjoy discovering hidden gems, you should not miss an old wooden staircase leading to “Naithon Beach,” one of Phuket’s best beaches. While strolling down, take in a dramatic sunset over the Andaman Sea.
