Ice skating on the Rideau Canal is one of the most iconic winter activities in Canada. Winterlude, Ottawa’s winter carnival, usually kicks off the skating season on the UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the Ice Wine Festival, we’ve even gone snowshoeing and ice tasting at the ice bar, as well as simply enjoying the great outdoors.
